The National Hurricane Center warned for storms and showers in the areas of Leeward and Windward islands. This has been named as “Potential Tropical Cyclone Six.” The department stated that in the Atlantic, there could be seen major chances of tropical development.
2A advisory has been issued regarding tropical cyclone six occurrences. It can also cause disturbance while passing from nearby areas of Dominica. The fast winds and heavy rains to spread across the leeward islands.
There has been an expectancy that before crossing the areas of Hispaniola and some parts of Cuba, this Tropical development would develope to tropical storm till Tuesday. The current forecast cone does contain the Florida Keys and most of South Florida on Saturday night.
The potential tropical cyclone Six is expected to increase in a tropical storm by Tuesday. By this, it will become the sixth storm of the season in the Atlantic Ocean. Before the name of this storm would be, “Fred” this name would be given to the storm.
The National Hurricane Centre has now issued tropical storm warnings in the Virgin Islands and Dominican Republic areas.
The areas of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico can be under heavy rainfall and storm. If the tropical development continues in developing, then a warning will be published for Tropical Storm.
Tropical models take this system through the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico before moving through the Greater Antilles and going to Florida. Heavy rain can further extends quickly to more than a few centimetres, which can also cause flooding.
This tropical wave is one to watch as history tells us that the tropical development zone in August is right around this place.
The national hurricane center said that cyclone six could lead to heavy rainfall, causing flash, urban and small stream flooding and potential mudslides across the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
