Trinidad and Tobago Under-14 Boys football team began their qualifier stage in the CFU U14 Challenge Series in a worthy manner by beating their opponents in the first match held at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.

Trinidad and Tobago U-14 Boys shine at CFU U14 Challenge Series opener

Trinidad and Tobago Under-14 Boys football team began their qualifier stage in the CFU U14 Challenge Series in a worthy manner by beating their opponents in the first match held at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.

The young footballers’ performance showcased their talents, passion, and rigidity with regard to their ability levels, assisted by their head trainer, Densill Theobald, and rigorous training.

In the much-expected match, both the Trinidad and Tobago team and the team from Costa Rica performed superbly, right from the first whistle with great deals of technique coupled with a lot of planning. But the Trinidad team bested the latter as they passed well, defended well-tightly, and, of course, converted chances powerfully and accurately, which contributed to their success on the field.

The T&T team mark the match with a victorious score of 3-1 against the Aruba team. The goal scorers for the team were Adasa Richardson, Lukas Beyer and Jeremai Nanton. The win also brought out the capability of the team and may also show how capable the coaching staff is in moulding the boys for this particular region.

The head coach, Densill Theobald, is Trinidad and Tobago’s former international player, who contributed much to the formation of the team’s perspective on the game. During his tenure as the coach, mechanics of the players have been enhanced and good teamwork was displayed during the match by the players.

Such attitude has brought about a change in the mindset of young players that the teams embraced, and this has instilled confidence among followers and supporters that the team will do better in the subsequent matches.

Trinidad and Tobago next match will be against St Kitts and Nevis which is slated on Sunday at 6:30 pm at Dwight Yorke Stadium. The team is supposed to take their form into this match in order to continue with their victories in the tournament and do their best.

The other match of the day will be between Aruba and Jamaica scheduled to take place at 4:30 pm immediately ahead of the Trinidad and Tobago match. As the competition intensifies, all people especially the fans will be watching these young talents as they perform in the CFU U-14 Challenge Series.

This opening triumph without doubt has given the Trinidad and Tobago U-14 Boys team a big confidence boost and with their fans behind them and having the guidance of their trainer, Theobald they are set to deliver their best in the tournament.
