Trinidad and Tobago: A 38-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by an unknown assailant in D’abadie on Friday. He was taken to the hospital and currently undergoes a treatment.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: A 38-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by an unknown assailant in D’abadie on Friday. He was taken to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
The investigating officers were informed about an attack and they responded to the matter and arrived at the location. Upon arrival, they found a man lying motionless on the ground.
The police officers took him to the hospital for immediate medical aid. After receiving treatment, he recorded his statement and said that he was at his shop, which is located on the eastern side of Building 19 at Maloney Gardens.
In due course of time, an unknown man entered his shop and approached him. The victim added that the accused pulled out a pair of scissors from his shop and stabbed him multiple times. Therefore, he received several injuries on his chest and right arm.
After the attack, the suspect escaped the scene. The police are investigating the matter and conducted a search for the suspect. The public, with any information related to the matter, is urged to come forward and assist the officers in their inquiries.
The people around the nation took to their social media handles (Facebook) to express their concern for the victims and increasing crimes in Trinidad and Tobago.
While reacting to the news, a person named Abiyaz Euyore commented, “Oh god, again stabbing case, why? Police must arrest the accused. I am now fearing my security. Hope the victim get well soon.”
Another FB user, by the name of Manuel Edros wrote, “Police should take steps now to reduce crimes. now people are not safe in their own shops. Feel pity for victim.”
Additionally, such stances of crimes put the safety of civilians at risk. The people are advised to be aware. The police department is working tirelessly to tackle the spike of crimes in their country. The public is also advised to be aware and respond immediately if they experienced anything like this around them.
