St Kitts and Nevis: Volleyball team to play ECVA U23 Championship

St Kitts and Nevis’s Indoor National Men U23 Volleyball Team is participating in ECVA U23 Indoor Men’s Volleyball Championship.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: St Kitts and Nevis’s Indoor National Men U23 Volleyball Team is set to play the ECVA U23 Indoor Men’s Volleyball Championship in the British Virgin Islands. The tournament will be held from October 12- October 15, 2023.

ECVA U23 is the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association for men’s indoor volleyball. The game is meant to be played between a team of players under 23 years of age.

The championship has been played every year since 2015.

The Ministry of Sports and Creative Economy congratulated the players of the St Kitts and Nevis Indoor National Men U23 Volleyball team for their match and hard work. The list of players who will represent St Kitts and Nevis in the British Virgin Islands under the Head Coach- Richard Swan, comprises:

  5. Lemuel Chiverton
  6. Zendai Richards
  7. Clerique Ward
  8. Elkreen Morton
  9. Kyle Douglas

    Coach Richards congratulated the team and wished his team to give the best performance during the match.

List of Countries participating in ECVA U23 Volleyball Championship:

Many other Eastern Caribbean countries are going to be a part of the ECVA Male U23 Championship at the Multi-Purpose Sports Centre. Some of them are as follows-

  • Antigua and Barbuda
  • Dominica
  • Grenada
  • St Vincent and Grenadines
  • Anguilla and many more.

The winners of this tournament will secure a spot in the 2024 NORCECA Pan American Cup.

Schedule of the tournament:

Wednesday, October 11- Saturday, October 14:

In preliminary round play, teams will be placed in two zones and competing with each other.

Sunday, October 15:

The semi-finals will be played on Sunday morning, and the podium matches will be held later that evening.

St Kitts and Nevis Olympic Committee:

The people of St Kitts and Nevis are fond of sports. St Kitts and Nevis established an Olympic Committee that represent the country at the Olympic Games.

The committee is also responsible for the country’s representation in the Commonwealth Games. The Board of Members comprise:
