St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew announces beginning of eye surgery at JNF Hospital
Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and the Minister of Health, expressed pride while announcing that eye surgery will shortly start at the Joseph N France (JNF) General Hospital.

                                                    Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis and the Minister of Health, expressed pride while announcing that eye surgery will shortly start at the Joseph N France (JNF) General Hospital. The update was shared by PM Drew on March 14, 2023, through his official social media account.
Furthermore, the Minister of Health of the Federation mentioned that equipment used for eye treatment was received at the hospital after it was discovered that the eye clinic was not fully equipped.
The social media post by the Prime Minister noted, “Greetings, More good news: Eye surgery to resume shortly at the Joseph N France General Hospital. Equipment to the tune of hundreds of thousands had to be ordered once it was discovered that the eye clinic was without equipment.”
He further notified that he would also provide an update on the children receiving heart surgery in the coming week.
Many people expressed joy and pleasure and thanked the government of St Kitts & Nevis for the availability of the service in the twin-island Federation. “Dr drew God bless you excellent news every day to God be the great glory thing has come to my pm stay working,” one of the users wrote, while another wrote, “Excellent news about the eye surgery clinic resuming. My wish for my brother is that he will see properly again.”

As Minister of Health, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew has taken various initiatives to uplift the healthcare sector. Dr Terrance Drew visited the JNF General Hospital on March 12, 2023 (Sunday). During his visit, he met with the nurses and doctors of the medical institution and also interacted with the patients seeking treatment there. Dr Drew highlighted that his visit to the hospital was productive and fruitful.
Dr Drew noted, “Earlier today, I stopped by the JNF General Hospital to check in on the patients, nurses, doctors, and other medical staff. It was a rather productive visit.”
