Scott Furssedonn-Wood is the new British High Commissioner to Dominica
Scott Furssedonn-Wood is appointed as the British High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Dominica. He presented his credentials to the President of Dominica, HE Charles Savarin and to the Prime Minister – Roosevelt Skerrit, on Tuesday.

Dominica: Scott Furssedonn-Wood is appointed as the British High Commissioner to the Commonwealth of Dominica. He presented his credentials to the President of Dominica, HE Charles Savarin and to the Prime Minister – Roosevelt Skerrit, on Tuesday.
The UK in the Caribbean wrote in the tweet, “The presentation marked his accreditation as British High Commissioner to the nature isle; highlighting opportunities for deeper cooperation between our countries.”
While Scott Furssedonn-Wood tweeted, thanked the President and the Prime Minister of Dominica via his tweet and expressed his gratitude and happiness for being selected as the new British High Commissioner to Dominica.
His tweet states that “I am proud to be British High Commissioner to #Dominica. Thank you, President Savarin and PM Skerrit, for your warm welcome and commitment to the strong and enduring partnership. I am look forward to work closely with you.”

Besides this, Wood currently is also the British High Commissioner to Barbados & Eastern Caribbean and was appointed in the month of April this year.
He is also the non-resident High Commissioner to the other Caribbean nations such as – Grenada, St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda.
Wood was based in the United States for 5 years, from 2008 to 2013, where he served as the Head of Strategic Threats and Head of the Political Section at the British Embassy in Washington DC.
Before Washington, Wood was at the Foreign Office in London, serving as the Private Secretary to the Minister of State for – the Middle East & South Asia. During that time, he visited more than 50 nations, including India and its neighbours.
Wood’s qualification –
Wood holds an MA (Hons) in – Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Merton College, Oxford University, and an MBA from Open University.
