Castries, Saint Lucia: The animal welfare organisation of Castries – HelpAWS shares story about 11 puppies which arrived in Canada between midnight. While sharing the story, it stated, “Some of the best things happen under a cloak of darkness in the middle of the night. For instance, 11 puppies arrived in Canada between midnight and 2 am last night. It was cold, and everyone was tired, but the adopters’ and fosters’ excitement of welcoming these fur babies home lit up the night!”
Furthermore it mentioned, “It was a long journey for our sweet little babes, starting with the drive to the airport and their flight to Miami on Monday. After overnighting there, they set out on the next leg of their travels- flying to JFK, where they were met by our ground transport crew and loaded for the drive into Canada, finally arriving at their destinations 36 hours after leaving the shelter.”
HelpAWS informed that it has often said, “It takes a village”, and this couldn’t be truer. It couldn’t do it without everyone involved with the organization who contributed to getting these babies home. Hours upon hours are spent coordinating the flight with the airline and ground transport crews, not to mention the families waiting on the other side. Yet it’s always worth it when the organisation see the absolute joy of uniting a pet with its forever family. This is why the organisation do what they do – to ensure the babies the organisation rescue to have the opportunity to live an extraordinary life full of love and adventure and to give families the unconditional love that comes from adopting a rescue pup.
“We have lots of pups still looking for their forever homes, a ton still at our shelter in Saint Lucia and Kojak in Canada, whose foster momma asked us, “How is Kojak not adopted?” it said.
HelpAWS further informed that he is so friendly, energetic, and goofy. He’s super confident too. Kojak is very social and is having fun playing with his foster siblings. He will do well in a home with another puppy to play with but would also be happy as the only dog as long as his person or family is active and spends time with him.
While sharing the adoption update, it mentioned, “To apply to adopt any of our babies, visit www.helpaws.com/adopt to fill in an app! Donations to help us save more lives like these babies can be sent using e-transfer, PayPal or Zelle to donate@helpaws.com or @helpaws using Venmo.”
