Saint Lucia: Ernest Hilaire shares update on St Judes Hospital Reconstruction Project
Following the proceedings on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire took social media and shared a glimpse of it.

Saint Lucia: During the Sitting of the House of Assembly, papers were laid by Philip J Pierre, Prime Minister and Finance, Economic Development and the Youth Economy Minister and Justice and National Security Minister; Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information; Minister for External Affairs, International Trade, Civil Aviation and Diaspora Affairs; Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for Housing and Local Government and Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs Minister, on January 17, 2023 (Tuesday).
Following the proceedings on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire took social media and shared a glimpse of it. He mentioned that the report of the Reconstruction Project Review Committee of the St. Judes Hospital was tabled by the government of Saint Lucia.
The social media post by the deputy prime minister read, “Today at our Sitting of Parliament, we tabled the report of the St Judes Hospital Reconstruction Project Review Committee. My government is committed to delivering health care to the people of the south and Saint Lucia as the wider community.”
Ernest Hilaire further claimed that cleaning works have already commenced on the existing structure, with renovation works to follow soon after. My government will ensure that the people of the south are moved out of the George Odlum Stadium and into the new St Judes in a timely manner.
According to the update by the Saint Lucian Government, the sitting of the parliament commenced at 10 am, and the next sitting will be held on January 19, 2023 (Thursday).
