Saint Lucia: HelpAWS introduces Nutella, a sweet little pup

Saint Lucia: The animal welfare organisation of the Castries, Saint Lucia – HelpAWS, introduced a little puppy Nutella, who is so sweet – as his name suggested. As per the post by organisation, this precious little boy was found wandering on the side of a busy road, trembling and all alone. He is very skinny and malnourished, obviously having gone without food or water for way too long. The most heart breaking thing is the look of utter defeat on his tiny face, his eyes pleading for love and kindness as he stares into our souls. How does one so young come to find themself so destitute and hopeless?

“Our sweet boy’s coat is a marvellous mix of colours, like he rolled around in Nutella and cocoa. Although he had no reason to trust, exhaustion and loneliness won as he melted into our arms the minute we held him. As expected, he gobbled up his first meal, literally licking the bowl clean, before slipping into a deep sleep in what is likely the first dry, safe place he has ever been,” HelpAWS stated, while introducing the little baby.

Furthermore it added that it’s so difficult to see the devastation the animals HelpAWS rescue have faced. Some are harder on the heart than others, some make the organisation want to lash out and scream at the injustice of their circumstances, and some quite literally break them for a moment until they can pull themselves back together.

HelpAWS mentioned that ultimately, Nutella’s motto of “Positivity is the main ingredient” couldn’t be more true for the organisation here in Saint Lucia, where these beautiful, amazing, precious animals have so few places to turn. “We choose positivity over despair each and every day, with each life we tend to because that’s what they deserve,” it mentioned.

While stating about the donation methods, HelpAWS noted, “With ever-increasing operating costs and a shelter full of little lives depending on us, we need donations now more than ever. If you would like to support the cause and help the organisation to save lives like Nutella, please consider donating via e-transfer, PayPal or Zelle to donate@helpaws.com or @helpaws using Venmo. You can also set up a monthly recurring donation by going to www.helpaws.com/donate.”
