Retail price of cylinder to change from Feb 28 in St Lucia: Ministry of Commerce
The Ministry of Commerce of the island country has announced that the retail price of the cylinder has been changed, and the retail price of diesel, petrol and gasoline will remain unchanged.

St Lucia: The Ministry of Commerce of the island country has announced that the retail price of the cylinder has been changed, and the retail price of diesel, petrol and gasoline will remain unchanged.
While briefing the people about the decision, the St Lucian Ministry of Commerce stated, “The Public is hereby notified that in keeping with changes in international oil prices and Government’s application of the modified market pass-through petroleum pricing mechanism, the retail price of LPG 20, 22 and 100 lb cylinders has changed.”
It further notified that the price of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel and petrol, would not witness any change. “The retail price of gasoline, diesel and kerosene remains unchanged,” the ministry informed.
Ministry of Commerce further stated that the changed prices would take effect from Monday, February 28, 2022.
The ministry further provided a brief of the prices of LPG as well as petroleum products. The Commerce Ministry stated, “The price of Gasoline remained unchanged at $3.07 per litre or $13.95 per gallon from February 28, and Kerosene price would be unchanged at $2.33 per litre or $10.57 per gallon.”
It further said, “The cost of diesel remained unchanged at $3.07 per litre or $13.95 per gallon”.
Ministry added, “20 Pound (9.07 kg) Cylinder of would be increased from $34.03 to $35.46 per cylinder, 22 Pound (9.98 kg) Cylinder increased from $37.43 to $39.01 per cylinder, and 100 Pound (45.36kg) Cylinder increased from $243.64 to $257.95 per cylinder”.
The Ministry further stated that the following change in the fuel products would be announced on March 21, 2022 (Monday). “The Public is informed that the next adjustment of the retail price of fuel products will be on Monday, March 21, 2022,” the ministry was quoted.
Earlier, the changes were announced on February 7. At that time, the price of gasoline, petrol and diesel remained unchanged, and the cylinders’ price witnessed a small hike.
