PM Terrance Drew congratulates Dr Denzil Douglas for 35 years of exceptional service
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas for serving his dedication 35 years for the development of the Federation and people.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew extended congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Denzil Douglas, for his 35 years of dedicated service for the development of the Federation and its people.
Acknowledging Dr Douglas’s unwavering commitment and dedication to the excellence of the nation. PM Terrance Drew took to his social media account and shared glimpses of the surprise toast which was held for Dr Douglas in the Parliamentary Lounge of Government Headquarters during a recent Cabinet Meeting.
“During our recent Cabinet Meeting, we took a moment to honour and reflect on his unparalleled dedication as the Member of Parliament for St. Christopher 6,” noted PM Terrance Drew.
The toast was raised by current and former Ministers of Government, ambassadors and esteemed dignitaries. The celebration marks the unwavering commitment and dedication of Dr Douglas to developing St Kitts and Nevis and elevating the nation to a greater height.
While recognizing the 35 years of dedicated services of Dr Douglas for the development of the Federation, PM Terrance Drew stated “From his initial election to Parliament on March 21st, 1989, to his continued advocacy and leadership, Dr Douglas has left an indelible mark on our nation’s progress.”
Minister Denzil Douglas also expressed gratitude for the surprise toast which was held for him, he asserted “A SURPRISE TOAST was held for me earlier today in the Parliamentary Lounge of Government Headquarters.”
This was held to celebrate with me on the occasion of my 35th Anniversary, since my election to the National Assembly, on March 21, 1989, serving the good People of Constituency #6; Newton Ground, St. Paul’s, Parson’s, Dieppe Bay and Saddlers/Harrises.”
Moreover, Dr Douglas is also conducting several activities in order to commemorate his services. On Sunday, 3rd March 2024, the Branch executive Lunch meeting was held and on 14th March, the Branch Elections and Branch Meeting were conducted. This was followed by an Anniversary Church Service on 17th March in Saddlers Pentecostal Church of God and a Community Walkthrough in Saddlers on 19th March.
The upcoming activities that have been scheduled to take place include a book launch on 21st March, a Health Fair on 23rd March and a Health Walk on 30th March 2024.
Several residents of the community took to their social media accounts and extended congratulations to the Minister and appreciated him for his dedication towards bringing laurels to the nation.

Another person with a Facebook handle Melissa Herbert commented the following “Well deserved, we appreciate all you are doing and have done for SKN. Thank you and Congratulations.”
