PM Skerrit invites nominations for 2024 Tourism Service Excellence Awards

Roseau, Dominica: The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit has invited the citizens and the visitors to participate in nominating the outstanding professionals and businesses for the upcoming 2024 Tourism Service Excellence Awards.

PM Skerrit shared the call for nominations through his social media handles, to encourage everyone to contribute to the nomination process for 2024 Tourism Service Excellence Awards. Nominate the one who is passionate about tourism, nominate any exceptional services you received in the island nation, so that the deserving gets a chance to be in the spotlight for their unwavering contribution to the tourism sector.

Prime Minister Skerrit also shared the theme that will be followed this year, “Tourism is Everybody’s Business – Own Our Own.” The awards are being conducted under Tourism Awareness Month 2024 which is being observed from May 1- May 31.

PM Skerrit and the Ministry of Tourism encouraged the residents to participate in the golden opportunity to recognise and celebrate the professionals in the tourism sector of Dominica and give them their due appreciation for providing a memorable hotel stay, outstanding customer service, or any innovative tour that has raised the bar should be highlighted.

The Ministry shared the process of nomination that can be followed by clicking the link and providing the details about the country you live in and about your visit and experience in Dominica. Everyone can participate in the nominating process, the citizens, the visitors, the businessmen and service providers in the tourism sector. The last date to complete the nomination process is 15th May 2024.

However, feedback plays a crucial role, also provides a clear picture to the administration and the tourism sector that what are the visitors and citizens appreciating and where the change needs to be done.

The tourism sector in small island nations like Dominica, plays a significant role in the development of the country by providing a memorable experience to the visitors and by generating revenue for the nation.
