LPSt Kitts and Nevis: Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis paid a visit to St Peters and mentioned it as a great state. He visited multiple areas to check the state of them.
During his visit, he went to local businesses, the health center where refurbishment is set to continue soon. He also visited the community center where the children’s Easter camp was going on. He shared the glimpses from the visit on his social media where the children are seen engaged in painting.
The Prime Minister had an interaction with the campers and encouraged them to learn as much as they can. Such encouragement by the Prime Minister of the country sets a mark of his responsible actions towards the growth of his children as they are considered as the future and nation builders.
“Finally, I went to monitor the work being done on the St Peter’s main road, a road that was previously ignored by the previous administration,” mentioned the Prime Minister.
PM Terrance Drew as well went to the St Peter’s main road and F.T. Williams Highway, highlighted developmental actions being taken at the road which further directed towards the infrastructural development of the country, St Kitts and Nevis.
As he mentioned the ignorance by the previous administration, the project was dropped by them. However, in 2022, when he took an oath as the Prime Minister of the country, he assured of completing the project to provide the locals with better facilities.
On the visit, he was provided with the update on the project by Alexis Hazel who is the owner of Rock & Dirt Limited as this project is being managed by the corporation. This project started working in the month of January this year with the significant investment of $31 millions.
Under this project, the base roads are being constructed and would give an advanced access to the people of St Peters. The construction of sidewalks as well were announced to be constructed at the time the project was announced. And, the name given to this is cat’s eyes.
The authorities are pushing great efforts for the success of this project. The Public Work Department (PWD) with its keen dedication and hard work are leading towards the success of the project. St Kitts and Nevis is one of the climate prone countries and the occurrence of calamities like hurricanes make it necessary to repair the roads once or twice a year.
And, as per the commitment by the Prime Minister, the workings on the project are being carried out positively.
