Nevis: Brantley announces update on CCTV surveillance program
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation of St Kitts and Nevis, Premier of Nevis – Mark Brantley, has shared an update on the CCTV surveillance program.

St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Aviation of St Kitts and Nevis, as well as Premier of Nevis – Mark Brantley, has shared an update on the CCTV surveillance program. He stated that the twin-island federation’s security and infrastructure have been improving because of the committed leadership by the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM).
He further outlined that the residents of Nevis have provided security and safety, which is the foremost priority of the government. Premier of Nevis further stated that these CCTV cameras had been equipped with advanced technology, which will help in crime prevention and detection initiative.
Brantley took Twitter on Sunday evening and stated, “The new public CCTV surveillance program is the result of our dedication to improving our security and local infrastructure. Our committed leadership and the strength of our community are the basis of Nevis’s continued growth”.

He also mentioned that the utmost priority of the administration in maintaining law and order in the country.
Brantley has earlier announced that the CCTV cameras installed around the island country are capable of license plate recognition.
Nevis Island Administration (NIA) has waited for the installment of the cameras as the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges and caused a delay.
He further took a moment to praise the Permanent Secretary of Premier – Wakely Daniel and the Minister of NIA’s Information Technology (IT) Department – Theon Drew, for their dedication and hard work during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
CCM Leader further stated that crime is not a topic of concern in Nevis, but it is a social phenomenon that can happen anywhere, anytime, which makes the installation of the advanced surveillance system important.
Brantley has garnered praise from all directions because of this work. One stated, “Wow, well done, Premier Mr Mark Brantley,” yet another mentioned, “Keep up the good work!” The third stated, “Very impressive! Nevis Nicer now!!!”
