Michael Martin to serve as new St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit Head
The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has introduced Michael Martin as the new Head of CIU.

St Kitts and Nevis: The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis has introduced Michael Martin as the new Head of CIU. The announcement was made by Prime Minister and Finance, National Security, Citizenship and Immigration, and Health and Social Security Minister – Dr Terrance Drew on December 13, 2022.
Martin is a national of the country and is regarded as one the best service providers in the industry. He has worked in top managerial positions in various companies, including National Bank Trust Company, National Caribbean Insurance Company and Sagicor Life Inc. During the past times, he has served as the Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park Society Council of Management’s Honorary Secretary, the Insurance Association of the Caribbean and a Director of First Federal Cooperative Credit Union.
Martin holds a graduation diploma from the International Compliance Association & Manchester Business School, two certificates in International Trust Management from the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, as well as in Managing Financial Services from the University of the West Indies (UWI) respectively.
The newly elected CIU chief thanked PM Terrance Drew for trusting him and showing his excitement to participate in the new given task. He stated that the Unit would undergo situational analysis, which will assess the status while determining the best way to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Martin highlighted, “This is an operation that is essential to the country’s development and to the people of the country. The programme will be rebranded and refocused, which will define the strategic goals, creating some new and unique investment options that would be aligned to the planned strategic goals.”
He furthermore assured that the programme would witness complete evolution. The meet was attended by Attorney General Garth Wilkin, Cabinet Secretary Marcus Natta, and Operations Manager at CIU Larry Vaughn.
