Melissa Skerrit shares glimpses of joyful Easter Celebrations of Dominica

Roseau, Dominica: Easter celebrations with the family are always the highlight of the year as mentioned by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Melissa Skerrit. Celebrations of Easter were held at Peebles Park over the holiday weekend. 

Melissa Skerrit shared her pleasure on social media for the celebrations of Easter in the country. “It brings such joy to see our little ones laughing and playing,” quoted the minister. By quoting such a statement, she presented the statement of all the joy a festival brings to the country.

Easter Celebrations in Dominica were hosted by the Minister Melissa Skerrit herself. The celebrations took place on March 31 at the playground. The event had all the fun, entertainment and competitions. The set timing for the event was 3 pm and the entertainment at the place will be through Egg Hunt, Games and Face Painting.

At the event, major entertainment will be by DJ Shil, Miracle the Illusionist. After all the activities which started at 3 pm, a movie was featured on the screen as a part of the celebrations. An Easter-themed movie was featured for the public on the big screen that was with the purpose of spreading Easter vibes.

The movie started at 6:30 pm and popcorn and treats were included. Post celebrations, Melissa Skerrit shared the glimpses. The glimpses she shared included the sights of movie screenings and games that children played. As the celebrations were for the Roseau Central Constituents, the joy Minister Melissa Skerrit had with them provided the epitome of the significance which each festival holds. 

The joyful times that people had is even true from the comments by the residents of Dominica. 

“To all the kids that were there, they really had a wonderful and joyful day,” mentioned one of the citizens.

“Wonderful, Kudos to you and your Team,” commented another.

Such a comment by the residents even marks the recognition of the work by Melissa Skerrit.
