St Kitts and Nevis: Marsha Henderson, Tourism Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, shares her excitement about the arrival of the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon of the Seas.
She emphasized that Royal Caribbean International’s decision to have the Icon of the Seas dock in St Kitts is a fantastic idea. Such an event in the country is expected to be a symbol of success and will contribute significantly to revenue generation.
“This endorsement marks a pivotal turning point of our tourism industry, as it propels St Kitts to the forefront, ensuring that our destination is regarded as an essential stop in the itinerary of discerning travelers,” said Minister Henderson.
She also added that the country of St Kitts and Nevis celebrates a remarkable milestone in its development, and the arrival of the Icon of the Seas will lead to a remarkable journey.
The tourism Minister mentioned that from the very beginning of the tenure, she was clear that she had to devote herself towards rebranding the country. She added that with her team, she put forth certain strategies that contributed towards the strong marketing.
Such an action by her team made it possible to showcase the beauty, culture, and experiences that the country St Kitts offers. Providing the details on the areas she put in the efforts, she added that the collaborations with several agencies; be it media or organizers, provided great benefits towards fulfilling the ideas.
“We sought partnerships with travel agencies, international media outlets, journalists, and influencers, engaging them to create visually stunning content that showcased the hidden gems of St Kitts. This approach not only amplified our reach but also epitomized the essence of our island, allowing travelers to envision the captivating experiences that awaited them,” said the Minister Henderson.
