Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The brand-new CT scan has arrived on St Kitts and Nevis which is all set to be commissioned by September 2024. With the installation of this new CT scan, the Government of St Kitts and Nevis is a little step closer towards advancing the healthcare sector of the country to greater heights.

While sharing the update on the new CT scan, PM Drew stated that this machine is a 125 slice which means that it is so advance that it will be able to diagnose heart disease. The leader of the nation noted that it is truly a huge development for healthcare in St Kitts and Nevis.

He stated that this addition of new piece of equipment will play a huge role in delivering better healthcare services to the people of St Kitts and Nevis by ensuring that they have access to first-class medical diagnostics.

This CT scan machine will play a crucial role in detecting serious problems of heart disease and for the same, the government is also in the process of establishing a cath lab which can give a proper and enhanced medical care to the individuals experiencing chest pain within four minutes.

The Prime Minister also extended gratitude to the Ministry of Health leadership and Special Envoy for Health, Dr. Frank Laws, for making this possible and helping them in bringing CT scans to JNF Hospital of St Kitts and Nevis.

PM Drew also focused on his commitment towards improving the quality of health services and stated that his administration is working diligently with a vision to offer quality healthcare to all the citizens of the island nation.

The Prime Minister stated that JNF Hospital would be home for the patients, which is being made with the purpose of providing exceptional healthcare services. For the same, PM Drew noted that the government of St Kitts and Nevis is actively preparing for the future that promises enhanced facilities and improved patient care.
