Jamaica Suns reign as defending champions of America’s Netball Men’s Championship
The Jamaica Suns reclaimed the title in style backed by a 7-game winning streak.

Jamaica Suns is on a winning spree, defending their champions title with exceptional win at the Americas Netball Men’s Championship. The Suns reclaimed the title in style backed by a 7-game winning streak.
Trinidad and Tobago finished the game as the runners-up in their debut at the Americans Netball Men’s Championship. Followed by, Vincy Warriors of St Vincent and the Grenadines, claiming third position. These three teams along with Grenada has earned an opportunity to participate at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.
A total of eight teams participated in this competition. The teams competed in the championship including, Antigua and Barbuda, England, Grenada, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States of America, St Kitts and Nevis and Jamaica.
Also, these matches were hosted in 2 great locations of the St Kitts and Nevis. While shedding light on the successful conclusion of the tournament, the Minister of Sports of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins extended gratitude to all the teams for their participation.
While emphasizing on the competition, the Minister stated that he had the pleasure of witnessing some of the incredible action firsthand. He asserted that this Championship plays a huge role in creating a platform for all the netball enthusiasts to engage with the sport and form better relations.
Minister Samal Duggins further continued to say that hosting such a significant event plays a huge role in enhancing their reputation as a premier destination for international sports events. He mentioned that the successful conclusion of the event in St Kitts and Nevis also reinforces the significance of sports in fostering unity and growth within the region.
He noted that such championships also play a huge role in boosting the tourism sector of the country and providing an economic uplift for the communities. For the same, the Minister extended gratitude to everyone who made this championship, a success.
The Minister also lauded St Kitts and Nevis Netball Association for their contribution in organizing and facilitating this championship. He stated that it is a testament to their dedication to the sport which is continuing to drive its growth and success in the Federation.
He also extended congratulations to St Kitts and Nevis Pelicans for their never giving up attitude and especially commended the captain of the team, Zeon Hector. Minister Duggins stated that he was rightfully awarded the St. Kitts and Nevis MVP for his outstanding leadership throughout the tournament.
“Though, the St. Kitts and Nevis Pelicans, did not place, I wish to commend them for their efforts and service to the country,” asserted Minister Duggins.
