Jamaica: Reggae Sumfest 2024 to get back to Beryl affected with ‘The Best Ever’ show

Despite the challenges posed by Hurricane Beryl, the excitement for the Reggae Sumfest 2024 in Jamaica still prevailed. The promoter of the festival, that initiated on July 14, stated that the event will be the best thing to happen this year.
Promoter Joe Bogdanovich enthused that everybody’s talking about the fest and stated that the promotion is all over the region. Recognizing the sufferings that the residents will face in a post-hurricane Jamaica, Bogdanovich reiterated his promise to get back to those in need.
On Sunday, July 14, Reggae Sumfest 2024 incepted with the Family Funday featuring dancehall artist, Laa Lee. Going forward with a ‘Street Dance’ and an ‘All White’ event, the festival will result in a rise to the high expectation for the ‘Global Sound Clash’, to be held on Wednesday, at which Dynamq Sound will be defending their title.
This year’s Sound Clash, for the first time in Sumfest history, will include a Japanese female selector in the panel.
‘Rumfest Sumfest Blitz’ is a newly introduced highlight of the event, will host Dancehall King Beenie Man on stage with an orchestra. Bogdanovich is confident that the mentioned events will set the platform for the staple night on Friday and Saturday, which will showcase a mesmerizing uphold the of local and international acts.
Bogdanovich exclaimed that there will be no filler in the track of the outstanding lineup. He further ensured that the security had been escalated, optimizing quality service, and hospitality to be enhanced, all to make sure the attendees do feel comfortable and enjoy themselves.
Most of the events are going to be held at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex, Montego Bay, except for the ‘All White’ event which will be put to show at Pier 1, assuring the patrons that they will be here for one of the greatest and most memorable show.
He also emphasized the need to bring Caribbean artistry and culture to the world, as the festival shall host its first ever international show in May 2025. Rumfest has already increased the ticket sales, bringing in a wider mix of people, and widened the appeal of the festival.
Reassuring fans that Montego Bay was alive, with the feeling of great expectation, the promoter promised an experience to be remembered for ages, filled with “peace, love and blessings.” The expected unity and joy will surely leave behind everlasting memories.
