Caribbean: Mental conditions are more severe than the physical ones. There is a saying as well which says that the society can accept the people with physical conditions, however the ones with mental conditions face more criticism.
It is very necessary to have sound mental health as it brings a sense of encouragement and confidence in one. PAHO Caribbean has featured a post which was shared by WHO (World Health Organization) which presents little ways to take care of Mental Health.
Talk to someone you trust if you are feeling down
Talking to someone whom one trusts would help in lowering down unnecessary burden and would cheer up. Talking to someone would help as it would provide emotional support. Such an activity even diverts the mind which changes the atmosphere around and brings positivity.
Do some physical activity like going for a walk
Physical activity would help in letting go of stress by providing openness and relaxation to the body. Performing any physical activity would enable one to be physically fit which itself would bring the sense of confidence and would lead towards better mental health.
Give yourself time to rest
In the world full of chaos and the era of busy lives, it becomes hard for one to extract time for ownself which is very necessary. There is a saying that one does not make the time to have rest, the body itself creates the circumstances to get rest. Good health revolves around balancing work pressure and mental health for which rest is very important. Taking rest would help in keeping mind which directly impacts mental well being.
Do things you enjoy
Doing things one enjoys significantly is the best way of being mentally sound. Enjoyment gives birth to happy hormones in the body, increases adrenaline which automatically cheers up a person and boosts energy. Performing the activities of one’s choice would act as a stress buster and foster the happy living ahead by refreshing the mind.
With the passage of time, it becomes necessary to know your worth. And, for this being mentally stable is much necessary. One should always know that just small bad moments can not decide the ultimate destination of one. So, having a bad day does not make one bad and prioritizing self care is not being selfish, however is one of the ways of having healthy mind.
