Guyana: Labour Ministry delegation, led by Joseph Hamilton, visits Victoria Village
The Labour Ministry of the Republic of Guyana has informed about the recent visit of Minister Joseph Hamilton to Victoria Village.

Georgetown, Guyana: The Labour Ministry of the Republic of Guyana has informed about the recent visit of Minister Joseph Hamilton to Victoria Village. According to the update, labour minister was accompanied by the Prime Minister Mark Phillips.
“Joseph Hamilton, Minister of Labour, Prime Minister, Brigadier (retd) Mark Phillips, alongside several Ministers, meet with residents from Victoria Village and surrounding communities, East Coast Demerara,” the update posted on official handle of ministry read.
According to the update by the ministry, the meeting is in keeping the government’s manifesto promise to visit communities and speak with residents across the country to resolve their issues and improve their livelihood.
The social media post furthermore claimed that Minister Hamilton spoke briefly about the importance of being a skilled individual in order to find work.
As a result, after speaking with the residents, he hopes to provide technical and vocational disciplines through the Board of Industrial Training.
Furthermore, the ministry informed, this includes inspecting the community’s existing training facilities, according to him (Minister Hamilton).
While concluding the post, the minister mentioned that the minister also mentioned the creation of a training facility in Unity Community, East Coast Demerara which is expected to be concluded within six months.
In addition to this, the ministry of labour informed about the site visit to National Stadium in East Bank Demerara. The social media post read, “A Ministry of Labour team is on the site of the UncappedeD Marketplace at the National Stadium in Providence, East Bank Demerara.”
As per the update, the marketplace, which launched on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, aims to connect local agro-processing companies with new customers. It was concluded on Sunday, March 26th, 2023.
As a result, the ministry’s participation aims to inform the public about the services it provides.
