Grenada witnesses growth of 33.5% of visitors in March 2024

Grenada: Grenada marked a significant increase of 33.5% in the number of visitors in March 2024. This year, the island nation welcomed around 22185 visitors in March 2024 which is approximately more than 5000 travellers witnessed in March last year.  Along with that, the island nation also received 56,127 passengers to the shores of the country with 53,873 arriving via cruise and 2254 by yacht.

All this data was unveiled during the Caribbean Tourism Organization Sustainable Tourism Conference which was held in April 2024. During the conference, the Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority, Randall Dolland shared that the continuous growth in the arrival of visitors emphasises on the acknowledgement that Grenada is receiving as a premier travel destination. 

They also stated that the United States and the United Kingdom played a crucial role in expanding the tourism market of Grenada in March 2024 as the country welcomed 49.6 percent of arrivals from the US and 13.1% of visitors from the UK. These figures shed light on the efforts that tourism authority has undertaken in making Grenada a perfect choice for the travellers around the world. 

Moreover, the representatives also emphasised on the number of arrivals witnessed by the country in first three months of 2024. As per the reports, the country marked a growth of 28.6% in the number of visitors in the first three months of 2024. As per the reports, the Grenada Tourism Authority welcomed more than 13,000 visitors in the first quarter of 2024 as compared to 2023 in the same period. 

The number of visitors recorded in first quarter of 2023 were approximately 45.837. Meanwhile, the island nation welcomed 58,941 travellers in 2024. This increase in the number of tourists shed light on the unwavering commitment and dedication of the tourism authority towards elevating the nation to greater heights. 

The travellers from United States also marked a surge in the first quarter of 2024 from 22,734 to 28,889 visitors. Meanwhile, the visitors from United Kingdom also witnessed a rise of 15.4 % visitors in March 2024, from 7780 stopovers to 8892. 

The tourism authority of Grenada has promised to make continuous efforts and strive hard with a vision to foster the rich cultural heritage of the country and make Grenada, a premier destination for all the visitors.
