Goombay Summer Festival all set to embrace Bahamian culture today

Bahamas: The Goombay Summer Festival is back on Bay and is all set to offer a fun-filled evening to all the attendees, making their visit memorable and comfortable today. The evening will take place at Bay Street, Downtown Nassau from 5pm to 12 midnight, and promises to offer enthralling Bahamian music, delicious local cuisine, cultural performances and many more.
Notably, Goombay Summer Festivals celebrates the true essence of Bahamian culture and showcase the rich cultural heritage of the island nation through live music, dance performances, art displays, and delicious Bahamian cuisine.
While shedding light on the series of events set for today, the Tourism Authority of Bahamas stated that all these activities will offer plethora of experiences to all their attendees. The events that will be conducted by the authorities include, Synergy Band, Kids Village, Cultural Show and Demos, Authentically Bahamian Craft Village, Fire Dancers, R.M. Bailey Pop Band, Bdocs Marching Band and Junkanoo Rushout.
The authorities added that these events are a mixture of fetes and cultural immersion that guarantees a more vibrant summer to all the local citizens and travellers of Bahamas. They further remarked that these family-friendly events will make you dance to the tunes of the electrifying performers of the event.
The artists that will be gracing the shores of the island nation through their performance includes, The Skyjuice Band, Jonny Cake, Jamming Rahming, Shine, Fanshawn, and Blaudy with MC Puzzle. Therefore, the tourism authority asked all the citizens to not miss out on this unforgettable experience.
The tourism authority continued to say that the festival embraces the legacy of a Bahamian-rooted community and plays a huge role in attracting large number of tourists to the country and fostering the rich cultural heritage of the nation. They further asserted that such festival also plays a huge role in enhancing the economic conditions of the country as it gave a platform to the local citizens to showcase and sell their locally produced goods and services, generating huge amount of revenues for the nation.
Recently, the Goombay Summer Festival was celebrated in Abaco. Abaco is the second largest island in the Bahamas. During the festivities, the Parliamentary Secretary, John H. W. Pinder shed light on the event and stated that it brought out the vibrant spirit of the country.
The festival was a packed show which brought large number of visitors to the country and celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the nation. He further asserted that the Goombay Summer Festival not only showcased the local talents but also promotes the importance of community and cultural preservation.
