Fatal shooting at bar in Jamaica, kills three and injures four

Jamaica: The fatal shooting took place at a bar in Frome, Westmoreland of Jamaica, causing the death of three people and fatal injury to four people on Wednesday morning. The incident shocked the people in the bar, making them run from the location.

After the clearing of the chaos, it was discovered that seven people were found severely wounded with the gunshot injury. Out of these, two were declared dead after they reached the Savanna-la-mar Public General Hospital.

In addition to that, another person succumbed to his injuries when he was getting treatment at the hospital. The incident was reported at 12:50 am when patrons were enjoying themselves at the bar and suddenly heard the sounds of gunshots. The shooters came into a white Toyota Axio motorcar were armed with handguns and exited the vehicle.

They suddenly started the shooting, and opened fire at the people, causing chaos among the audience at the bar. The seven people who suffered injuries were transported to the hospital and four of them are still alive and get treated at the hospital.

The shooting is being investigated by the police and the government stated that the shooters will be given punishment for their crime.

As per the reports, the first person from the deceased has been named Everol Rowe, a shop owner and broom maker of a Forme address. The name of the second person was Kemar Smith who was also known as Bennie Bud from Savanna-la-mar.

The third person was Andre Mc Donaland from Gully Bansk who resided in Savanna-la-mar. They all lived in Westmoreland.

Netizens reacted to the situation and criticized the law and order situation in Jamaica, demanding proper justice for the deceased.

One also condemned the government and added,” In 2012 after the general election and the PNP won,a barrage of gunshots were heard in the vineyard town,Allman town areas of Kingston,also in the vicinity of the Harman Barracks police department,too. This resonate too well.”

Another added,” Local government election done, money stop run so the country going back to be crime striken again.”
