Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit congratulates team for representing country in FIRST Global Robotics Competition
Dominica: The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has congratulated the Robotics Team of Dominica, which will represent the nation in the FIRST Global Robotics Competition.

Dominica: The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica – Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, has congratulated the Robotics Team of Dominica, which will represent the nation in the FIRST Global Robotics Competition.
The team has left for Geneva, Switzerland, the host country of the FIRST Global Robotics Competition. The competition has been scheduled between October 13 and 16. The Prime Minister also invited the team for a pep talk on Friday.
“The Dominica Robotics Team is off to Geneva, Switzerland to participate in the FIRST GLOBAL Robotics Competition from October 11-16,” he stated.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Skerrit wished the team luck and expressed the pleasure of meeting with the young and brilliant mind of Dominica.
“I welcomed the team members on Friday for a pep talk and to wish them luck for the competition. It was a pleasure chatting with the group of young innovators who are our country’s future problem solvers. Let’s wish them every success in the competition,” Prime Minister Skerrit added.
The team gathered best wishes and congratulations from many of the Dominica, who expressed pride and anticipated better participation in the Robotics Competition.
One of the users commented, “All the best team… represent well,” while another highlighted, “great job! Wish you the best and great vibes!! My son is into robotics in middle school. We are very excited for you all.” The third one outlined, “All the best to them, God’s guidance and protection upon them.”

The competition is back after two years of virtual gaming, the competition will be played in person, and it is believed that Geneva, the “Capital of Peace”, is where nations will gather to solve diplomatic challenges, where scientific innovation flourishes.
