Denzil Douglas congratulates Charles E Mills for 8th successive victory in TDC Championship
Minister for Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Denzil Douglas extended congratulations to Charles E. Mills Secondary School for creating a huge milestone and securing 8th successive victory in the 2024 TDC Track and Field Interschool Competition.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Minister for Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas congratulated Charles E Mills Secondary School for creating a huge milestone and securing 8th successive victory in the 2024 TDC Track and Field Interschool Competition.
Minister Douglas took to his social media account and extended congratulations to the winner and said “Congrats SP/CEMSS 8th Successive Victory in Inter-high School Track and Field. Another successful year.”
At the end of 400m, on the final day of the Championship, the Charles E Mills Secondary School has taken a huge lead by claiming 22 gold, 23 silver and 15 bronze medals respectively.
The team has remained undefeated for eight consecutive years and has displayed their skills, talents, abilities and techniques to the best. Their hard work and unwavering commitment towards their field is a result that this year also, they claimed a victory by such a huge margin.
Charlestown Secondary School secured the second spot amassing a total of 16 gold, 24 silver and 16 bronze medals respectively. The team is followed by Basseterre High School who clinched the third position with 14 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze medals.
Washington Archibald High School and Gingerland Secondary School secured the fourth and fifth positions respectively. The former has won 14 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze medals and the latter has amassed 11 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze medals.
The sixth spot was secured by Verchilds High School, amassing 7 gold, 6 silver and 12 bronze medals respectively. The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College and Cayon High School secured the seventh and eighth positions respectively. Clarence College has won 7 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Cayon High School won 5 gold, 8 silver and 6 bronze medals respectively.
Moreover, the St Kitts and Nevis Athletics Association has appreciated all the athletes for performing exceptionally well and showcasing their love for sports and patriotism. They congratulated all the athletes and everyone who lent their unconditional support to the first multicity TDC Interschool Championship.
Notably, all the schools and athletes displayed incredible performances throughout the tournament and their achievements and medals earned in the competition are a testament to their dedication, talent and skills.
Such championships conducted by authorities are a great way of promoting sports among youth as they play a crucial role in boosting their confidence, team spirit and resilience. Along with that, it also improves the physical and mental well-being of the person.
