Crime Intervention Summer Soccer Camp hosted for young individuals of St Kitts and Nevis
The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew attended the 2024 edition of the Security Forces United FC annual Crime Intervention Summer Soccer Camp and motivated young children towards sports and other curricular activities.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew attended the 2024 edition of the Security Forces United FC annual Crime Intervention Summer Soccer Camp and motivated young children towards sports and other curricular activities. The main motive of this camp was to combat crime rates and nurture the potential of the youth of the island nation.
While sharing the glimpses of his meeting with the children of the camp, PM Drew stated that he was extremely happy to spend the time with all the participants and coaches. He stated that this camp is conducted annually and is organized by the security forces with the support from Ministry of National Security, Ministry of Sports, the Prime Minister’s Office and many more.

The Summer Soccer Camp lasted for two weeks. During these two weeks, the participants of the camp had the opportunity to receive football training from coaches hailing from England and the United States. He added that this camp was a great way of providing an environment that promotes the involvement of young children towards sports, team work and discipline.
The Prime Minister further praised the idea of the camp and stated that it is an innovative way to create a safe and empowering environment through sports and education. He added that by helping the young individuals towards such activities, they can steer their young generation toward a brighter future which is filled with possibilities of growth.
The Prime Minister also added that this summer camp would help the children in developing their interest towards entertaining or interesting activities rather than crime.
“It is also an important activity that bolsters our crime prevention efforts,” noted PM Drew.
The Prime Minister also extended gratitude to all the organizers, mentors, and sponsors who made this camp a resounding success. He stated that they will continue to conduct such camps with a vision to lead the young children of the country towards the right path.
