Caribbean Airlines to host Village Cricket Programme aims to celebrate diverse culture
Caribbean Airlines is all set to host Caribbean Village Cricket Programme which will run from Friday, 29th March 2024 to Sunday 30th March 2024. The main vision of the airlines behind this programme is to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean nation and to celebrate the community spirit through the sport of cricket.

Caribbean Airlines is all set to host Caribbean Village Cricket Programme which will run from Friday, 29th March 2024 to Sunday 30th March 2024. The main vision of the airlines behind this programme is to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean nation and to celebrate the community spirit through the sport of cricket.
In order to celebrate Caribbean cricket, Caribbean Airlines has also introduced a new Instagram page @ourcaribbeanexperience. The management team aims to promote unity among the citizens of the Caribbean nations by conducting such sporting events, where families, friends, colleagues and everyone can gather to cheer on their favourite teams.
Caribbean Village Cricket is a part of the airline’s focus on enhancing the vibrant culture and traditions of the island nation. This programme is a follow-up to its successful “Culture in D’Park” event which was hosted by the Caribbean Airlines during the Trinidad Carnival.
Firstly, the inaugural matches will be played in Trinidad and the following matches will be conducted in Jamaica, then Guyana and the final round of the match will be played at Queens Park Oval, Trinidad.
The first three games that will be conducted in Trinidad include the locations, Powergen Penal Sports Club, Santa Cruz Sports Association and the National Cricket Centre, Couva.
The schedule for the Caribbean Village Cricket Programme includes,
- 29th March – 31st March: Trinidad’s three locations.
- 20th April: Kingston, Jamaica.
- 28th April: Georgetown, Guyana.
- 5th May: Finals will be played at the Queens Park Oval, Trinidad.
While sharing the importance of village cricket, Garvin Medera, the CEO of Caribbean Airlines stated that “it holds a huge place in the Caribbean culture which promotes the spirit of community and love of the people for the game.”
“Cricket is not such a sport; it is a tradition which holds the power to bring people of all the ages together and fosters relation among them,” noted Garvin Medera.
This innovative way of Caribbean Airlines to promote Caribbean culture is highly appreciated by the citizens of the island nations. The airlines have also expressed their unwavering commitment and dedication towards promoting and celebrating the diverse culture of the Caribbean regions.
