Antigua and Barbuda: Randy Baltimore, the officially nominated candidate from the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) for the St. Philip’s North by-election, began door-to-door campaigning for the upcoming elections scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026.

The by-elections were triggered by the sudden resignation of Robin Yearwood on Wednesday, February 18, after representing the Antiguan Parliamentary Seat for 50 years. He was also candidate of the ABLP, making it more significant for Baltimore, who is focusing on the same vision and willing to continue Robin Yearwood’s legacy and leadership style.

Randy Baltimore held a Bus Blitz & Walk-Through campaign on Sunday, March 1, 2026, which began Collins Corner, accompanied by his party workers and moved along Newfield, Glanvilles, Seatons, Carty’s Hill, and Willikies. The event concluded at the branch office of the constituency.

During the walk-through, Baltimore met several residents, shook hands and interacted with them. Locals also joined him on the streets, showing their support and trust in him and his party. Most of the supporters joining him were young people.

Going house to house, canvassing, the residents receive us very warmly, and I must say that they pledged their support for me going forward for the by-elections,” said Randy, during one of his previous campaigns.

He also explained that his relationship with St. Philip’s North went far beyond his candidacy. “I know the people. I’ve been doing it for a number of years, so the transition has been very smooth and easy for me because I am grounded in the community,” said Baltimore.

He outlined, that the three pillars, around which his campaigns are focused include scholarships in different curriculum areas to be announced soon; health initiatives through improved services at the Glanvilles polyclinic, the opening of the pharmacy; and economic empowerment through job and business assistance.

I will pledge to the constituents that I will work diligently to ensure that these three main pillars are really looked into so that we can bring more comfort to the constituents,” added Randy Baltimore.
