Another medal for Jamaica, Rasheed Broadbell clinches bronze in 110m final
The other two Jamaicans that were in the final namely Orlando Bennett and Hansle Parchment completed the race in the 7th and 8th position respectively.

Jamaica’s Rasheed Broadbell claimed the bronze medal in the Olympic men’s 110m final in Paris. He clocked his season’s best 13.09 seconds to finish the race at the third spot.
Meanwhile, Americans Grant Holloway completed the race in 12.99 seconds, claiming 1st spot and Daniel Roberts with a season’s best time of 13.09 seconds, clinched silver medal. The other two Jamaicans that were in the final namely Orlando Bennett and Hansle Parchment completed the race in the 7th and 8th position respectively.
In this process, Broadbell gave Jamaica their second bronze medal in Paris Olympic 2024 and sixth in overall. Following his victory, the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness took to his official Facebook account and extended congratulations to Broadbell for bringing bronze medal for Jamaica.
Along with that, the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the other two athletes and stated is extremely proud of other Jamaicans as well who fought hard to the end and gave their best for their nation.
Moreover, the Minister of Tourism of Jamaica, Edmund Bartlett also extended congratulations to the athlete and stated that this medal is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the athlete towards his goals. He further stated that his accomplishment in the Paris Olympics not only reflects his dedication but also the spirit of Jamaican excellence.
He continued to say that Rasheel Broadbell’s success is an intersection of what talent and hardwork looks like. After his victory, the athlete expressed gratitude to his coaches, parents and his countrymen for their love and support throughout his journey of Paris Olympics 2024.
While extending gratitude, Broadbell stated that God has been with him in the middle of every single thing this season. He also talked about his parents and stated that it is his dad who keeps him positive and calms him down in the toughest situations. He further stated that he knows that his parents are extremely proud of him, given the fact that where they have come from and getting on the portfolio is truly a blessing.
Following that, the athlete promised to continue to work hard and bring glory for his nation. He stated that he is committed to his dreams and will every possible effort to turn his aspirations into reality.
After his victory, Rasheel Broadbless received huge amount of love from his countrymen, as they took to their social media accounts and congratulated him for his victory.
