American Caribbean Maritime Foundation invites applications from Caribbean nations
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas announced the scholarships offered by the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation through the CARICOM Secretariat.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Denzil Douglas announced the scholarships offered by the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation through the CARICOM Secretariat.
The scholarship is open to all those citizens of Caribbean nations who are pursuing or desire to pursue studies from the Universities including the Caribbean Maritime University in Jamaica, the University of Trinidad and Tobago, the LJM Maritime Academy Institute in Guyana and Atlantic Alliance Off-Shore Maritime Training Institute in Guyana.
The interested candidate can apply online for the scholarship and they can receive additional information about the process as well. The last date to submit the applications is 30th April 2024.
The American Caribbean Maritime Foundation is a non-profit organization which is solely dedicated to sponsoring academic scholarships and grants to extend support to Caribbean students.
The biggest cruises and cargo brands are the donors that are included in the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation. The donors include Seaboard Marine, Arawak Port Development, Dubai Port World, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC Cruise, Norwegian Cruise Line and many more.
According to the reports, approximately, two hundred scholars and grantees in nine countries were given funds for their tuition from ACMF. Those nine countries include Jamaica, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominican Republic, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Guyana, Bahamas, Suriname and Saint Lucia.
Notably, the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation has also donated several laptops during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to extend help to the students who had to drop out due to poor financial conditions.
Scholarships play a crucial role in accessing education for every deserving and aspiring student who wants to pursue education at the named Universities. It also gives a ray of hope and an opportunity to all those who are dealing with financial issues or complexities.
