4th generation Border Management system launches at RLB International Airport: PM Drew

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew attended the launch ceremony of the 4th generation Border Management system at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. This system features automated passport control kiosks, which marks the modernisation and enhancement of the services at the airport.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis attended the launch ceremony of the 4th generation Board Management System at the RLB International Airport, which was hosted by the Minister of Tourism Marsha T Henderson.

The system installed in the airport features automated passport control kiosks, which marks the modernisation and enhancement of the services at the airport.

While sharing a glimpse of the ceremony, PM Drew took to his official Facebook account and said “This morning I was joined by Hon. Marsha T. Henderson, the Tourism Minister of St Kitts and Nevis for the launch of the 4th generation Border Management System. The system has many advantages as it features automated passport control kiosks at the RLB International Airport. The agreement for the kiosks was signed by me in 2022 and I am very pleased to see them implemented.”

The main vision behind the launch of the 4th generation Board Management System is to revolutionize the travel experience of all visitors and ensure their safe and comfortable arrival to the island nations, by enhancing efficiency and convenience at the airport.

While shedding light on the benefits of the system, PM Drew stated that it is very efficient and user-friendly. The facility will advance the operations at the Robert L Bradshaw International Airport, making the passengers travel to the island nation seamlessly.

Along with that, he also added that with the installation of this system, they are keeping with the goal of sustainable island state agenda.

The host of the ceremony, Minister of Tourism Marsha T Henderson, expressed delight in collaborating with Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and their partners in immigration. She shared her motive of improving the overall experiences for visitors with the launch of this system.

Minister Henderson took to her official Facebook account and expressed her excitement about the ceremony and said “Thrilled to announce the launch of the new Kiosks at the R L B International Airport in partnership with the Honourable Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew and our partners in Immigration.”

The automated passport control kiosks system will also play a crucial role in reducing wait times of the passengers and easing their immigration procedures by avoiding long queues and lengthy manual passport checks by an immigration officer.

Notably, the new system incorporates the online entry application, which facilitates E-visa processing payment and features the Advanced Passenger Information Dashboard, among other systems.
