Minister of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Samal Duggins, has been making continuous efforts to promote small businesses

St Kitts and Nevis: Minister of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources and Cooperatives, Samal Duggins, has been making continuous efforts to promote small businesses and ignite innovation for the economic transformation of the island nation.
Notably, Minister Duggins‘s tiring and dedicated efforts have played a pivotal role in enhancing the small business sector of St Kitts and Nevis. Through his policies and measures, the Minister has extended their huge support to small businesses.
While acknowledging the development in the small business sector of the island nation, Minister Samal Duggins stated, “Cheers to a successful year at the Ministry of Small Business where we’ve not just supported businesses but ignited innovation for economic transformation.”
Minister Samal Duggins shed light on the initiatives taken by the government, such as the 40/40 grant and funding for Green Entrepreneurs. While recognising the positive effects of the initiative, Minister Duggins said that such efforts are benefitting small businesses to a great extent.
The Minister of Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship also talked about the training workshops conducted by the administration, which have been playing a crucial role in various fields of business, including marketing, customer service and financing.
Minister Samal Duggins also highlighted the equipment and tools provided by the administration to the small businesses for their developmental growth.
It is to be noted that the government has provided various platforms to help elevate small businesses, collaborate, and promote innovation hubs to nurture new ideas and a networking space for entrepreneurs in order to get investments.
Moreover, Minister Duggins extended their gratitude to the Department of Cooperatives and stated, “This year, our journey expands as the Department of Cooperatives joins us, adding new dimensions to our efforts.”
Minister Samal Duggins also appreciated Permanent Secretary Delrine Taylor and her staff for their tiring efforts and unwavering contribution and dedication towards the development of small businesses.
“I’m eagerly looking forward to another year of not just building businesses but also fuelling the fires of innovation in the small business ecosystem. Here’s to a future filled with growth, collaboration, and endless possibilities,” stated Minister Samal Duggins.
Minister Duggins has promised and assured that they will continue to make efforts to create more opportunities to expand small businesses in St Kitts and Nevis.
