Saint Lucia: As the country is returning to some level of normalcy, the Government has been planning to relax the COVID-19 protocols. However, the citizens and residents are asked to remain vigilant and continue to follow the necessary infection control measures to protect and safeguard the community from the COVID-19 virus.
After the discussions, the Cabinet has decided that the following protocols will be implemented for the period July 2, 2022 (Saturday) to August 27, 2022 (Saturday).
Fully vaccinated travellers are informed to show proof of vaccination on arrival and do not require a COVID-19 test. Unvaccinated travellers are required to provide a negative PCR test taken within five days prior to arrival in Saint Lucia. Quarantine requirements have been removed in relation to travellers.
In relation to mass crowd events (200 persons and more), all event organizers are required to submit their plans to National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) in accordance with the regular mass crowd guidelines. NEMO will undergo the details.
As per the present situation of the COVID-19 outbreak in Saint Lucia, COVID-19 home testing is authorized, and the health authorities have removed restrictions on the importation of rapid antigen test kits. All other protocols remain effective from July 2 to August 27, 2022.
The Government of Saint Lucia has reminded all citizens and residents to take personal responsibility and follow the protocols, including wearing a face mask in public places and maintaining general sanitation measures. It is also recommended that only the fully vaccinated population can attend mass crowd events.
It further asked to work together to reduce the impact of COVID-19 at this time.
