Grenada: Lindon Victor has earned himself a wild card into the 2023 World Championships. He has bagged the milestone after recently winning the 2022 World Athletics Combined Events Tour, Men’s Decathlon in Talence, France.
Now, he has joined Anderson Peters (Javelin World Champion) and Kirani James (400m Diamond League Champion) with wild card bids.
This year, the former Combined Events Challenge will be replaced by the Combined Events Tours. It will take the best three marks of athletes across the series and will convert them into performance scores, as done by the world rankings system. The winners of the Event Tour received a USD 30,000 bonus and wildcard entry for the World Athletics Championships Budapest 2023.

The Grenadian athlete has made the country proud on various platforms. He bagged a gold medal in 2022 in Birmingham in Decathlon and a silver in 2019 in Lima in the same sport. In CARIFTA Games (U17), he bagged a silver medal and bronze medal in 2009 in the Discus throw and shot put, respectively. Along with this, he won three medals in CARIFTA Games (U20) – Gold in 2012, Hamilton in Heptathlon, two bronze medals in 2010 George Town and 2011 Montego Bay in Heptathlon.
