Jerme Cazaubon charged under the offense of murder in Saint Lucia

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force charged Jerme Cazaubon under the offense of killing Lee Alexander on Wednesday 23rd November,2022 around 2:00 am.

Lee Alexander was a 30-year-old, who is a resident of Independence City in Castries.

The victim was shot various times on Dauphin Street Gros- Islet which created severe injuries and became the reason of his death.

On Monday, 23rd October,2023, the thirty-nine-year-old, Jerme Cazaubon who is also known as Master Weng was arrested by the officials under the suspicion of committing the offense of Murder.

Jerme Cazaubon is identified as a resident of Chapel Street, Gros-Islet.

On Friday, 27th October,2023, Jerme Cazaubon was formally charged for the murder of Alexander and he was taken to the Magistrate Court for bail.

He was then placed in custody and the investigation is still going on.

Such cases of murder are raising concerns about the safety of people living in Saint Lucia, as just few months back, The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force reported a murder case of Arnel St Rose resident of Grace Vieux- Fort on Wednesday 30th August 2023.

According to the information, two people were arrested under the offense of murdering St Rose. The accused has been identified as eighteen-year-old, Quamy Felix of Anse Ger and seventeen-year-old male juvenile.

As soon as the Police officials received the information, they instantly responded to the matter. They reached at the crime spot and found the dead body of St. Rose.

The officials found the dead body at the sides of a concrete road appearing wounds on it. As per the reports shared by the officials, the body was taken for its post-mortem examination.

The autopsy report revealed that the victim was shot multiple times and it created many wounds on his entire body.

Also, the Police officials stated that during the interrogation, they discovered that the deceased man had six rounds of 9 mm ammunition with him, which was later on seized by the officers of Saint Lucia Police Force.
