Jamaica’s officers discover dead body with chopping attack wounds
The authorities of Jamaica discovered the dead body of a man in Dunnsville, Ocho Rios in the parish assumed to be murdered in a chopping attack as the wounds of the chop injuries were found on the victim’s body.

St Ann, Jamaica: The authorities of Jamaica discovered the dead body of a man in Dunnsville, Ocho Rios in the parish assumed to be murdered in a chopping attack as the wounds of the chop injuries were found on the victim’s body. The incident is reported to taken place on Thursday, 18th April 2024.
The name and identity of the victim have not been identified but the authorities have described the body as slim build, 5 feet 6 inches long with dark complexion. According to the details shared by the officers, the dead body of the victim was found wearing a white undershirt, black and white shirt, grey Hanes underwear and grey shorts.
As per the reports shared by the authorities, the dead body was observed by the local residents of the community which was lying on the roadway and they immediately informed the police about the discovery of the crime.
As soon as the officers were alerted, they immediately responded to the matter by reaching the crime spot and found the body with several wounds created due to a chopping attack. The officers also found severe injuries to the victim’s head.
The crime scene was examined thoroughly by the investigating officers who are also currently probing the matter in detail in order to get the culprit arrested and punished for the offence he committed.
Several residents of the community took to their social media accounts and expressed their views and opinions on the matter. The residents have also raised their concern over the increasing crime rate in the area and have urged the authorities to take stringent measures with the motive to reduce the crime rate in the country as a whole.
One person with a Facebook handle Sashagay Singh commented “All of a sudden St Ann get so hot with crime and violence is like every day St Ann on the news just killing.”
Another person commented the following “It is for sure a murder incident, where are authorities, people are getting killed, they need to do something with their strategies to make the nation a peaceful place for the citizens and the travellers.”
