Manipur, India: Two worldwide bands are scheduled to perform at the next ShiRock 2023 concert, which is a part of the Shirui Lily Festival in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, and the state is prepared to see yet another exhilarating rock live performance.
The fifth iteration of the four-day Shirui Lily festival, which is put on by the Manipur Tourism Department, will run from May 17 to May 20.
ShiRock, a yearly worldwide rock concert, has grown to be one of the largest rock concerts in the northeastern region.
This year, the opening and closing days of the rock festival will feature performances by two foreign bands: the Israeli metal band Orphaned Land and the British rock band Bon Jovi tribute band Bon Giovi.
While New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi’s tribute band Bon Giovi is known as a pioneer in oriental progressive metal, Israeli band Orphaned Land is regarded as the genre’s first.
Unlike prior years, ShiRock 2023 will reportedly be run by the 7 Sisters Foundation, according to sources.
The festival will also include a number of well-known local bands in addition to the two international acts. The bands include Zephyrtone (Pune), Ginger Feet (Kolkata), Agni (Mumbai), Inner Sanctum (Bangalore), Arogya (Assam), Still Waters (Sikkim), Rosy K, and Band (Mizoram).
Cleave, Featherheads, 1BHK, and The Family Band are a few of the Manipuri bands that will be playing at the upcoming ShiRock 2023 event, an annual gathering of rock musicians from around the world.
