Guyana: Prez Irfaan Ali meets students who performed exceptional well in their respective field

Guyana: Contestants in the Amerindian Heritage Pageant 2022 paid a courtesy call on President Dr Irfaan Ali at his Office on September 6, 2022 (Tuesday).
The President charged the young ladies to focus on winning and bringing representation and joy to the communities and regions they represent.
The contestants are Leah Nelson, Anasie Fredericks, Reahna Emmanuel, Narria Simon, Amber Andrews, Reenee France, Emily Rambharat, Valda Williams, Monica Joseph and Janella Pollard.
The pageant is set for September 17 at the National Cultural Centre.
Additionally, President Dr Irfaan Ali met with Guyana’s top Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) performer, Queen’s College student, Bhedesh Persaud, today at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.
Persaud secured 14 grade ones and one grade three.
The young scholar told the President that he wants to further his studies in the engineering field, and said that upon the completion of his tertiary education, he intends to contribute to the development of Guyana.
President Ali congratulated him on his performance and urged him to enjoy the moment, bask in his achievements and to, stay focused and move forward.
Director of Projects at the Office of the President, Marcia Nadir-Sharma was also at the meeting.
President also congratulated to all the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) students, particularly those who have performed outstandingly.
