Deceased Haitian President’s wife appeared before Judge for further investigation

President Jovenel Moise's wife - Martine Moise, appeared in front of the Judge for investigation in the assassination case of her husband.

Haiti: President Jovenel Moise’s wife – Martine Moise, appeared in front of the Judge for investigation in the assassination case of her husband.

With this, she also urged individuals who have any kind of information to come forward share it with the investigation team.

“If someone has any information about a person who is the subject of a warrant, a search notice, share the information.”

Martine noted that she was in the cabinet to answer questions from the Judge to see how the investigation into the death of President Jovenel Moïse could be advanced.

Martine stated that, “I answered all the questions, just under 80 questions and more than three to four clock hours. I want the investigation to advance and succeed.”

She added that the whole nation is waiting for justice.

So far, Haitian Police authorities have arrested at least 44 people, which also includes – 18 Colombians and two Americans of Haitian descent, in connection with the assassination case of President Jovenel Moise.

The Police authorities are further looking for the other individuals who are termed to be as the key suspect of the master plan.

President Jovenel Moise was assassinated on 7 July 2021 at his residence. Moise’s wife was also injured in the incident and then immediately taken to the United States for her treatment. A state of emergency was also imposed in the island country as the citizens came to the streets in anger to support their President, who was shot several times.

Various theories were cooked up in regard to the case. As per the information, Prime Minister – Ariel Henry talked to one of the key suspects of the case just two hours after the President was killed on the same night, and geolocation revealed the location of the key suspect at the crime scene.
