Cricket West Indies announces 15-member squad for Test Series against Bangladesh

Cricket West Indies unveiled an exciting 15-member squad for two-match Test Series against Bangladesh. The series has been scheduled to take place from 22nd November to 4th December, 2024 in Antigua and Jamaica respectively.

This series will play a significant role for the team, as they are aiming to take advantage of playing at the home ground and finishing the World Test Championship on a high note. As per the details, the management has selected a squad, which is a combination of fresh talent and experienced players.

The squad selected for the upcoming home-series include, Kraigg Brathwaite (Captain), Joshua Da Silva (Vice-Captain), Alick Athanaze, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Mikyle Louis, Anderson Phillip, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Kevin Sinclair and Jomel Warrican.

The talented all-rounder of the West Indies, Jason Holder is most likely to miss the series due to his shoulder injury. Meanwhile, the return of Kevin Sinclair can prove to be a valuable option for the team, aiming to give a tough fight to their opponents.

Also, West Indies will host a warm-up match ahead of the Test Series. The warm-up will take place from 17th – 18th November, 2024 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. This match will play a crucial role in preparing the team for the main Test Series and working on their strengths and weaknesses.

This series will play a huge role for the West Indies test cricket team to showcase their skills, talent and improve their rankings at the World Test Championship. As per the details, West Indies is currently at the 9th position of the points table, with 20 points. The team will be looking forward to win both the matches of the Test Series, aiming to conclude the championship on a positive note.

The team will also compete in 3 ODI and 3 T20 matches against Bangladesh. All the three games of ODI are scheduled to take place in Warner Park of St Kitts and Nevis. Meanwhile, the three T20I games have been scheduled to take place from 15th – 19th December, 2024 in Arnos Vale, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
