CONCACAF Nations League 2023: Saint Lucia wins Sint Maarten by 5-1
Saint Lucia Football team secured victory against Sint Maarten in their first football match in the CONCACAF Nations League 2023.

Castries, Saint Lucia: The Saint Lucia Football team secured victory against Sint Maarten in their first football match in the CONCACAF Nations League 2023.
To bag victory, the team of Saint Lucia secured five (5) goals, while the Sint Maarten’s team scored only one (1) goal. The match was played on September 7 in the Kishore Bharati Stadium, Sint Maarten.
The Saint Lucian team scored a goal before halftime, while the second half of the game began with 1-0 on the scoreboard. The second half brought hope for every Sint Maarten fan as the team scored a goal. But as time passed, Saint Lucia’s defence became stronger, resisting goals from the players of Sint Marten.
Concacaf Nations League 2023 commenced on September 7, 2023, with four (4) matches in a day. The matches were fought against (Group A) Panama vs Martinique, (Group B) St Kitts and Nevis vs Guadeloupe, (Group B) Sint Maarten vs Saint Lucia, and (Group C) Anguilla vs Saint Martin.
According to the schedule shared by the authorities of the CONCACAF Nation League, on the second day, Bermuda will lock horns against French Guiana.
On the third day, i.e. September 10, 2023, Martinique will play against Curacao, and Guadeloupe will play against Sint Maarten.
On September 11, 2023, Saint Martin will play against Bonaire, and on September 12, French Guiana will lock horns against Belize.
CONCACAF Nations League:
The CONCACAF Nations League is an international sporting event, which features senior men’s national teams. It is regarded as an association football competition during which teams of members association of CONCACAF – the regional governing body of North America plays.
The tournament is played on the dates allocated on the FIFA International Match Calendar. The inaugural tournament of CONCACAF was began in September 2019, prior to which one-time qualifying tournament was played from September 2018 to March 2019.
