Calvin St. Juste appoints as Chairperson of Board of Governors CIU

The Government of St Kitts and Nevis appointed Calvin St. Juste as Chairperson for the newly established Citizenship by Investment Unit. Along with that, five more members have been appointed to the Board of Governors for overseeing and   optimizing the functions of the CBI unit.

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Government of St Kitts and Nevis appointed Calvin St. Juste as Chairperson for the newly established Citizenship by Investment Unit. Along with that, five more members have been appointed to the Board of Governors for overseeing and optimizing the functions of the CBI unit.

Calvin St. Juste

Calvin St. Juste is all set to serve his duties as the Chairperson of the Board of Governors, aims to bring his distinguished international career to this crucial leadership role. Calvin has great experience as a seasoned Wall Street executive and holds a huge amount of expertise in finance, client management, and cyber security.

With his extensive knowledge and experience in various fields, Calvin aims to implement crucial decisions for the enhancement of Citizenship by Investment Unit and positions him to effectively guide the strategic direction of the boards. Along with that, Juste has performed his duties in diverse fields, he has been the former Global Chief Operating Officer (COO); Head of Global Strategy at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Financial Wellness division and as COO for Global Fraud and Cybersecurity.

Moreover, St. Juste has also been the winner of Stevie Awards for his outstanding customer service and efficiency. Along with that, his tenure at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank also provided him a deep understanding of the region’s financial landscape.

Following his appointment as a chairperson, he shared that St Kitts and Nevis has been at the vanguard of the Citizenship by Investment industry for a period of more than 40 years. He also shared of attracting the best investment with a vision to elevate the nation towards growth and development.

He also shed light on building a world-class corporation, underpinned by transparency, good governance, to ensure sustainable growth and global leadership of St Kitts and Nevis.

The Board of Governors aims to leverage their unique skills in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Citizenship by Investment Programme of St Kitts and Nevis. The members include,

Dr Louisa Lawrence

He is a seasoned economist who has made a huge contribution to the economic and financial landscape of St Kitts and Nevis.

Damille James

James holds more than 20 years of experience in risk management, regulation and anti-money laundering. He has also served his duties at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.

Kishma Maclean

She has expertise in marketing and finance and also specializes in AML, counter-financing of terrorism (CFT), and proliferation financing.

Marsha Harris

Harris holds more than 20 years of experience in the Financial Division at the St. Kitts Anguilla National Bank. He is all set to add substantial financial acumen to the Board.

Carlton Pogson

He is all set to contribute to the team’s development through his skills and expertise in organizational development, strategic planning and project management.

While shedding light on this team, Chairman Calvin St. Juste stated that he is extremely honored to be working with this talented and experienced team of individuals. He stated that all the members are committed to serving the Citizenship by Investment Unit with excellence.

The enactment of the Citizenship by Investment Programme 2024 marks a new chapter in St Kitts and Nevis CBI journey of long 40 years. This Act marks the significant milestone in the 40-year evolution of the CBI Programme. It reinforces the commitment of the government towards maintain the highest standards of professionalism in the Unit’s management, enhancing international cooperation, and ensuring rigorous due diligence.

Notably, the Citizenship by Investment Unit Act was enacted on 14th June 2024 and established the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Unit as a ‘body corporate’ which will be overseen by a Board of Governors.
