Basseterre Primary School Championships 2024 to return, Samal Duggins announces

Minister of Sports of St Kitts and Nevis, Samal Duggins, is all set to host The Bank of Nevis Limited Basseterre Zone Public Primary School Championships 2024. It is to be noted the event will take place on Friday, 19th January 2024. It will be held at Kim Collins Athletic Stadium. The championship will commence at 1:30 pm.

Minister Duggins has welcomed all the citizens of the island nation to witness the thrilling and exciting performances of the young talents of participating schools.

Notably, the schools that are participating in the event are Irish Town Primary School, Tucker Clarke Primary School, Beach Allen Primary School and Dr William Connor Primary School.

The entrance fee for attending the event includes:

  • The entry fee for the adults is $10
  • The entry fee for Children is $5

While welcoming the residents, Minister Samal Duggins stated, “Get ready for an adrenaline-packed afternoon. The Department of Sports invites you to the Bank of Nevis Ltd 2024 Basseterre Zone Primary School Championship. It is happening this Friday, January 19th, at 1:30 pm at Kim Collins Stadium. Come cheer for our young athletes.”

Minister Samal Duggins has always been consistent in encouraging young blood to come forward and participate in sporting activities, promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles among the youth.

Moreover, The Bank of Nevis Limited partnered with the Department of Sports for the athletics zonal championship last year. The Bank of Nevis Ltd. is using such an esteemed platform to underscore its commitment to social development through the field of sports.

The Department of Sports is mandated by the Ministry of Sport to engage the federation’s youth in sports to aid in their overall development.
