Antigua and Barbuda: With its exceptional offerings and experience, Antigua Cruise Ports made its place in the nomination list for the 4th Annual World Cruise Awards 2024. Their nomination in this prestigious award shed light on the unwavering commitment and dedication of the tourism authority towards making Antigua as a premier destination in the Caribbean.

The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority has lauded the continuous efforts of the Cruise Port of the island nation and extended them congratulations for getting nominated in two prestigious categories. The categories under which Antigua Cruise Port is nominated for includes, Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination 2024 and Caribbean’s Best Cruise Terminal 2024.

World Cruise Awards is the sister event of World Travel Awards which was launched in 1994. These awards celebrate and recognizes the excellence made in the global cruise industry. The voting lines is currently open and the deadline to cast their vote is 6th October 2024.

Moreover, 2024 remains a crucial year for the cruise industry of Antigua and Barbuda. As, the Antigua Cruise Port has created a milestone of hosting over 10,000 passengers in just a day. Also, the Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism industry is anticipating to welcome more than 800,000 cruise passengers by the end of 2024.

The Ministry of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda has lauded the determination of Antigua Cruise Port to create a plethora of experiences for all the tourists of the island nation. The Cruise Management is also making several efforts in order to attract large number of visitors to the country.

In 2020, Antigua Cruise Port spent around US$30 million in order to complete phase one of the project. The phase one included the construction of new 700-foot pier to accommodate the largest ships in the industry. Meanwhile, the phase two began with the construction of a state-of-the-art cruise terminal in May 2024.

The Cruise Port is also aiming to construct a 3700-square-foot beach club which includes, a pool, bars, restaurants and a stage for entertainment. With this club, the authorities aim to offer an experience like no other, such as great food, cocktails, vibrant music and many more amenities.

Along with that, the cruise industry of Antigua and Barbuda is witnessing huge growth due to its stunning and beautiful natural environment, services, and unique charm.
