Antigua and Barbuda: The National Independence Parade is one theatre of a precision drill as displayed by uniformed bodies within the nation.
The ABDF will lead them, and the RPFAB, the onlookers, are treated to a display of excellent unrivalled precision to maintain the standard of practice. This year’s parade will be held at SVRCG on 1st November 2022. The defence force has anticipated that the National Independence Parade will be a spectacle as ABDF is Ready To Serve.
Many people congratulated and expressed their good wishes towards the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force for their performance on the 41st Independence Day.
One of the Antiguans took comment section and wrote, “Will be… its always a spectacle!” yet another mentioned, “Number 1 platoon.”
The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force earlier shared a glimpse of their participation in the “Opening Ceremony for the Basic Recruit Training of the year 2022.”
On 28th September 2022, the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force held its Opening Ceremony for the second Basic Recruit Training of 2022 at Camp Blizard with 38 recruits. The Chief of Defence Staff, Col T Benjamin, addressed and reminded the Training Staff of the tasks ahead and mentioned some very important topics and messages the 38 recruits will not forget. They will be put to the test to complete the course successfully.
Col T Benjamin charged the recruits by stating, “Look around you, when you get to the end, some of you may not be here. Today begins a life of service, one during which the needs of the country are placed before your personal needs and desires. The process you are embarking on is difficult; it is designed to break you and turn you into the type of person that the ABDF NEEDS. So I encourage you to trust the process. When it gets difficult, trust the process. When you feel like giving up, trust the process. When you are doubtful, trust the process.”
