Zulfi Bukhari, Pakistan Tareek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader, has recently lauded the Pakistani diaspora or the Pakistanis living overseas for their ultimate contribution towards their home country.
Bhukhari has talked about overseas Pakistanis through the official social media channels of PTI. He has expressed his gratitude for the people of Pakistan who have been residing outside the country but hasn’t lost touch with their roots.
He additionally mentioned that they must be commended for their unwavering dedication and commitment towards the growth and prosperity of the nation. Further, he expressed gratitude and assured them that he would remain committed to creating opportunities and a conducive environment for them to stay connected with their roots and actively contribute to the nation’s progress.
Prior to this, politician Zulfi Bukhari, who also served as the special assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), invited the general public to listen to him.

The message was conveyed by Minister Zulfi Bukhari on June 25, 2023 (Sunday) at 10 pm PST.
Who is Zulfi Bukhari?
Zulfi Bukhari, formally known as Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari, is a British-born Pakistani politician and entrepreneur. During the reign of PM Imran Khan, he was a member of the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan as a Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. He left the post on May 17, 2021.
In addition to this, he has also served as the National Tourism Coordination Board Chairman of Pakistan. Bukhari is also known to be an active member and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party.
Since 2011, he has been known to be a close aide of PM Imran Khan, because of which Bukhari was appointed as the head of Khan’s campaign in Islamaba-II (NA-53). As per the reports, following the victory in the 2018 elections, Bukhari was appointed as a Minister of State in Khan’s Cabinet.

Chairman of National Tourism Coordination Board
Special Assistant to PM on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development
Chairman Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation
Earlier this June, Bukhari was also appointed as the adviser to PTI Chairman Imran Khan on international media. This appointment was announced by the Secretary General of PTI, Omar Ayub Khan, highlighting that his appointment has been approved by the PTI chairman.
Renouncing British Citizenship:
In September 2022, Zulfi Bukhari gave up his British Citizenship and mentioned that he would fight with former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in his ‘real freedom movement.’
Bukhari was quoted saying, “The country needs us… win or defeat is in the hands of Allah, but we have decided to serve Pakistan.” He added, “I stood with Imran Khan in difficult times. I am a Pakistani, and I will remain a Pakistan.”
