Trinidad & Tobago: Leader of the Opposition, UNC Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar, SC, MP, has filed a ‘motion of no confidence’ in the National Security Minister, Stuart Young.

National Security Minister’s downfall to conscientiously discharge his responsibilities to this country’s people as their Minister of National Security has enforced the Opposition to take action.
According to the statement, he is responsible for one disaster after another that involves the uncontrolled and crudely considered migrant registration policy, the accelerated deterioration of our national borders’ security, and the confidential award of private security contracts.
According to UNC Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the confused and chaotic manner in which Minister Young continues to preside over the Government’s privilege.
She also accused that they charge that Stuart Young has undermined our nation’s border security by restricting the use of multiple breaths of air and marine assets because they were obtained under a UNC-led Government.
The absence of proper border security has enabled a growing human- and weapons-trafficking channels to increase, with the effects further disabling our country.
UNC Leader accused that Mr. Stuart Young has shown himself to be the most inexperienced, ineffective – even bordering on critical – Minister of National Security to ever hold office.
“Thank God you are doing your job time the nonsense, wickedness, evil vileness stops and bring our people safe in their home-land for God’s sake,” commented Jerry Bachan.
Paul Simon commented, “The UNC wasting time on motion of no confidence. That’s a poor strategy with little or no effect. Kamla must mobilize all voices that are fed up with the PNM and use it as a stepping stone to build a unity platform to fight this monster.”
On the other hand, a Facebook user commented, “Take some more drastic action and remove these incompetent jackals from there.” Another user wrote, “Don’t give up the fight issues will solve, but you need strong people on your team now, Miss K.”
