T&T COVID update: 189 new cases reported, 1,342 patients died so far
Trinidad and Tobago has reported 189 new infections of the COVID-19 mutant on 7 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.

Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago has reported 189 new infections of the COVID-19 mutant on 7 September 2021, according to the report of the Health Ministry.
While there are around 3,691 total active cases in the nation, in comparison, a total of 40,980 individuals have been recovered from the deadly COVID-19 virus.
In total, around 288 people are in the hospital. The Health Ministry of Trinidad and Tobago further informed in the report that a total of 1,342 patients died on the Caribbean island as of 7 September 2021.
As per to the report, there are a total of 77 patients are in the step-down facilities, about 134 individuals are in the state-quarantine facilities. A total of 3,137 individuals have isolated themselves at their respective homes following the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the data shared in the health ministry’s report of T&T.
So far, as of 7 September 2021, in Trinidad and Tobago, a total of 528,017 individuals have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, whereas, in total, 417,358 individuals have welcomed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and now are fully vaccinated against the deadly COVID-19.
According to the COVID-19 update report, since the deadliest pandemic started, the Caribbean island has reported a total of 44,481 confirmed cases of the virus.
If we look at the statistics of COVID-19 testing, a total of 321,287 individuals have been tested for the novel coronavirus, out of which a in a total of 139,782 individuals have been tested at private facilities, whereas the remaining tests were conducted at public healthcare facilities.
